Processed products that use Parmigiano Reggiano as an ingredient

The European Regulation 1143/2024 specifies in Article 27(2), that foreign operators wishing to use a geographical indication in the name of pre-packaged food, including in promotional material, must provide prior written notification to the recognized producer group, if such a group exists, for the geographical indication in question.

For this reason, the Consortium has prepared a specific notification document, to be signed by operators based within the European Union, to authorize the use of the name and images of Parmigiano Reggiano.
