            Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese Month

            Spain meets Parmigiano Reggiano at the Restaurant La Carbonera in Madrid, from the 1st to the 30th of June, Italian will be the cooking language thanks to the Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese Month

            Reggio Emilia, 23 May 2018 - Marcelo Àlvarez, who has always been a great connoisseur of cheeses and an expert of the sector, opens the doors of his La Carbonera restaurant in Madrid, during the Parmigiano Reggiano month. From the 1st to the 30th of June, the Spanish restaurant will dedicate dishes and encounters to the King of cheeses in encounters about its special features and great versatility.

            Due to the different maturation periods and its specific biodiversity, Parmigiano Reggiano is ideal for all types of preparations, from starters to desserts, as 100% natural concentration of taste. It will be interpreted by Marite Baeza, La Carbonera’s chef, in a menu called “Los Piatos Fuertes” available every evening from 20.00 and preceded at 19.00 by an aperitif with Parmigiano Reggiano paired with locale wines and beers.

            Every Saturday and Sunday, from 11.00 to 16.00 there will be brunch with Parmigiano Reggiano paired with fresh and light preparations in combination with Italian deli-meats.

            Wednesday 6th of June at 20.30, in addition to the daily calendar a special event called “Una noche  con Parmigiano Reggiano” will be held, hosted by Angela Barusi of Forma Libera and focused on the history, production and distinct characteristics of the cheese, a dinner dedicated to Spanish wines selected by Marcelo Àlvarez will follow.
